SP Performance Cross-Drilled Rotors have a design that offers the best results possible in cooling and venting brake dust and moisture. Unlike our competition there is no sharp edge on our chamfer. This is accomplished by the use of an outer radius curve rather than a countersink. With the radius curve, or Sinusoid Curve, it virtually eliminates an edge on the surface of the hole. This smooth surface also makes the rotor more pad friendly by reducing the wear of the pad caused by the friction scraping against a sharp edge. The SP Performance drilled rotor dramatically enhances the cars look with a true European styling.Advantages of SP Cross-Drilled RotorsIncreased coolingImproved brake pad biteImproved wet weather braking Reduced fade Increased Safety and ReliabilityWe begin by selecting only the finest quality materials and components and then utilizing unique innovations and manufacturing techniques, we are able to achieve the highest consistent quality. Rotors: SP has become a leader in its technology of cross-drilling, slotting, diamond slotting, and cross-drilling & slotting. Unique features such as the radius chaffered holes, and exclusive Diamond Slots, makes our rotors perform and look like no others.Rotor production starts by selecting the finest OE quality blanks available in the market. Each rotor is then studied and analyzed to insure that surface quality, vent design, and finished surfaces meet or exceed our strict standards. The specific pattern is then utilized with a computer design program specifically for the application. Next, the rotors are precisely machined using CNC machines to ensure that the highest consistent quality can be achieved. Not only do we provide our customers with 4 different patterns to choose from, we can also boast of having the largest coverage in the industry with applications for Domestic and Foreign Cars, Trucks, and SUVs.
